Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Plymouth Arts Center with Celtic Folk as they present four shows of the ever-popular, “A Wee Bit Irish!” Enjoy this live musical concert featuring your favorite traditional and contemporary Irish tunes. Show dates are Saturdays, March 16 and 23 at 7:30pm and Sunday Matinees, March 17 and 24 at 2:30pm. Celtic Folk includes vocalists and musicians: Tom Clegg, Julie Henze, Kerrylynn Kraemer, Roy Schwab, Mykael Lengling, Rachel Stoyke, Ramona Tritz, and Steve Vogt.

The theme of this show is Go Figure! Is it figurative? Is it about perplexity, confusion, surprise, or puzzlement? Is it figuratively speaking; or metaphorical? How does it all add up?

Sips and Cinema, An Unreel Wine Tasting, is a short film program combined with a wine tasting. Event features a selection of five short films thoughtfully paired with five pours of wine. Hosted by the Plymouth Arts Center. Attention Business Owners: this event could be the perfect Team Building opportunity for 2024. Consider bringing your team and watch as they enjoy five short films together, and bond over learning about the films, the artists who created them, and the wine…the different grape varieties, flavor profiles, wine regions and tasting notes.

Showcasing the works of Plymouth High School Art Students and teacher Ryan Krippendorf, Elkhart Lake/Glenbeulah High School Students and teacher Erin Glynn, art instructor, Lori Beringer and her students, as well as the PAC’s Life Drawing group with Facilitators, Lori Beringer and Mark Rittorno. The annual Sartori Big Cheese Drop is nationally lauded as one of the country’s quirkiest New Year’s Eve traditions. This year marks our 17th annual event as we celebrate Plymouth, WI, the official Cheese Capital of the World. Over the past 16 years, the event has drawn thousands as the community comes together to welcome the new year. The highlight of the event is marked by a countdown and the lowering of a giant wedge of Sartori’s world award-winning BellaVitano® Gold Cheese at 10pm. The event is sponsored by the Sartori Company.

The Plymouth Arts Center proudly presents “Celtic Christmas” a live musical concert with traditional, contemporary, and religious Christmas music featuring the group Celtic Folk.

The Plymouth Arts Center Singers invite you to attend their Christmas Concert this holiday season. Show dates are Saturday, December 2nd at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 3rd at 2:30pm. Tickets are $15 for PAC Members and $17 for Non-Members. The PAC Singers are a group of 45 volunteers who enjoy sharing their talent with the community. The group is under the direction of Barbara Zirwes-Nysse, with accompaniment provided by Mary Fellenz and Tom Armstrong. The show is generously sponsored by Paul and Kathy Sartori, and Sargento. “Colors of Christmas” features nostalgic and colorful holiday songs, favorite Christmas Carols, popular Christmas hits, novelty numbers, and beautiful heart-warming tunes we’ve all come to love.

The Plymouth Arts Center presented a public, HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE while celebrating the fine art created by over 75 Member Artists. The opening reception for the 28th Annual Holiday Membership Exhibition was held Friday, December 1st from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The public was invited to attend. A brief awards ceremony was presented at 6:00 pm. Live holiday musical entertainment was presented by Mary Fellenz, piano, and Dan Ognavic, piano.

You are invited to view the paintings created at this year’s Paint the Towns in Fall Color event. The paintings are on sale at a “Buy It Now” sales price.

The exhibit is open to all current Plymouth Arts Center members and to those who wish to become a member. A variety of annual membership levels are available beginning with a student level. Entry/prospectus for the exhibition must be postmarked or delivered to the PAC no later than October 20,2023. Each member may submit one piece of original fine art which is their own concept and design not previously displayed in Gallery 110 North.

The Plymouth Arts Center invites Midwest Artists to register for its annual Paint the Towns in Fall Color, en Plein Air (outdoor painting) competition and exhibition. The painting days are Oct 12th - Oct 19th in Plymouth, Greenbush, and Glenbeulah within the boundary map provided.

The Plymouth Arts Center and sponsor, Van Horn Auto proudly present Harmony & Dissonance, a juried show featuring the works of CoPA, the Coalition of Photographic Arts. The public is invited to the festive opening reception on Friday, August 18 from 5 to 7:30 pm with awards and comments presented at 6 pm. Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by the Gypsy Swing Chicks, Kate Pearce, Karen Mani, and Beth Munns.

The iconic Kids from Wisconsin are rolling out the red carpet for our 55th summer season of musical excellence. You’re sure to be “Star Struck” as we pay homage to our nation’s famous award shows that celebrate accomplishments from the stage, screen and beyond. Mega-popular and award-winning artists are featured in the troupe’s celebratory season with musical selections from Broadway’s Tony Awards, Hollywood’s Oscars, to top entertainers from the Grammy Awards. The Kids from Wisconsin’s STAR STRUCK tour will bring these sensations, and much more, to life in our high-powered two-hour Broadway style production for families and audiences of all ages. This elite troupe, consisting of Wisconsin’s most talented 15- to 20-year-olds, is the country’s only pre-professional performing organization of its kind.

Due to the increase in demand, Mill Street Live is offering nine shows to enjoy this summer, all performed at the Plymouth Arts Center at 7:30pm. “Oh Sweet Goats and Little Tales” is the Youth Theatre Company’s tribute to great story-telling, through song, dance and, you guessed it, great stories! The show will be a fundraiser for the PAC in celebration of the Plymouth Arts Center’s 30th Anniversary! This performance will also mark the 35th Anniversary of the Youth Theatre Company in Sheboygan County! Lots to celebrate, that’s for sure.

The Plymouth Arts Center launches its 30th Anniversary Year with a brand-new art show in Gallery 110 North. A Statewide PROFESSIONAL Tour Coming Your Way by KIDS THE BIG BANG BOOM TOUR

Mill Street Live will be celebrating its 14th year of fantastic performances at the Plymouth Arts Center in downtown Plymouth, WI.

The Birchbark Basket Workshop will expose community members to Indigenous Ojibwe culture and the vanishing techniques associated with birchbark methods and quill basketry. The three-hour workshop will provide a hands-on opportunity for participants to create traditional birchbark baskets.

The Plymouth Arts Center proudly presents an evening of fine performances in the semi-annual Joseph Sartori Concert Series, “An Evening of the Classics,” on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 7:30 PM. The series is graciously underwritten by the Sartori Company. The concert performers are: Lydia Harrington, piano; Annika Nelson, guitar; Alex Weisensel, Saxophone; Chloe Meyer, piano; and Jaylon Jones, piano. The Master of Ceremonies is Thomas Armstrong. Tickets for the concert are $13 (tax incl.) for Adults and $7 (tax incl.) for Students. Children under 5 are free.

A festive reception was held on Friday, October 15, 2021to view and bid on the paintings created at Plymouth Arts Center’s annual Paint the Towns in Fall Color. This is a free admission reception with live music, complimentary appetizers and desserts, and a cash bar. It is a great opportunity to meet the participating artists and to bid on a favorite piece at the Silent Auction until 9:00pm.

The Plymouth Arts Center is accepting applications for its 26th Annual Holiday Membership Fine Art Exhibit in Gallery 110 North. The exhibit is open to all current Plymouth Arts Center members and to those who wish to become a member. A variety of annual membership levels are available beginning with a student level. Entry/prospectus for the exhibition must be postmarked or delivered to the PAC no later than October 22, 2021.

The Plymouth Arts Center and Plymouth Public Library are presenting a silent auction of artist painted Library Chairs on Saturday, August 28th from 5:30 to 7:30pm. The auction will be held at the Plymouth Arts Center in conjunction with the Walldog festivities being held that evening. Bidding will close at 7:30pm. You need not be present to win.

A Free Family Event presented as part of the Return of the Walldogs event. Two Dates: Thursday, August 26 and Saturday, August 26 at 10am.

Four new murals will be painted along with two existing murals being repainted onto panels. In addition to capturing local business and community history, the murals draw residents and visitors to enjoy a self-guided mural tour throughout the historic downtown. You can download or pick up a map the Plymouth Chamber created and find QR codes on each mural which provides background information.

New Art Show Opens in Gallery 110 North Summer Freshet: Artful Abundance from the League of Milwaukee Artists

Tickets available for preferred bench seating which will be close to the stage and concession stand. Lawn chair seating will also be available with a suggested donation of a minimum of $5 per person. After a quiet year of no performances the Kids From Wisconsin’s 53rd year will present “Live! In Living Color”. The show will highlight the greatest live music venues throughout the history of this country and the musical artists that helped define their legacies. The Ed Sullivan Theater, Caesars Palace, The Grand Ole Opry, House of Blues, and Broadway just to name a few. The brilliant costumes and magnificent talent of the high energy dancers and musicians will be something to marvel and take you back to those musical moments. An iconic Kids From Wisconsin performance is a professional, fully staged Vegas-style performance designed for a multi-generational audience. The group tours the Midwest and will perform to over 120,000 over a summer.

The “Mill Street Live” Summer Musical Series is celebrating its 13th year of fantastic performances at the Plymouth Arts Center in downtown Plymouth, WI. “Mill Street Live” is a high energy song and dance musical revue and is regarded as one of the most entertaining summer shows in the area. With music from the past six decades, there is something for everyone in the audience to enjoy. Featured genres are Rock n’ Roll (old and new,) Country, Jazz, Blues, and more. Seven Friday shows will be performed at the Arts Center at 7:30pm. Join us for the season opener on Friday, June 25th.

PLYMOUTH, WI- The Plymouth Arts Center opened a new art exhibit in Gallery 110 North. “Alive in the Arts” is the organization’s 26th annual juried exhibition showcasing Wisconsin Fine Artists. Juror Bonnita Budysz was the juror for this year’s 26th annual competition. Bonnita reviewed artwork from artists living and working throughout the state of Wisconsin. The public is invited to view the exhibition beginning Friday, May 7th. The opening reception will be held from 5-7pm with live musical entertainment and complimentary appetizers. There will be a cash bar. The Wisconsin Watercolor Society was established in 1952 in Milwaukee. The group began with a few members and has grown to almost 100 members from throughout Wisconsin. The WWS was the first organization to be devoted exclusively to watercolor painting. Its purpose was then, and still is, to promote watercolor as an important medium with exhibits throughout the state of Wisconsin and to serve as a catalyst for those genuinely interested in watercolor.

The challenge of heating and cooling the beeswax captures the dynamic of chaos and demands control unlike that of any other painting medium. Encaustic medium is creating a wide variety of effect and depths in the layers beneath. Abstract pieces explore the possibilities of texture and depth that can be created with encaustics. In stark contrast, realistic pieces explore the detail and near photo realism you can achieve in encaustic painting. The overall effect produces a tactile pattern that captivates the viewer and entices them to touch.

Plymouth Arts Center is very saddened to announce that our summer Cheese Capital Jazz & Blues Crawl, scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2020 has officially been canceled amidst concerns over COVID-19.  We have been pondering for many weeks over this decision. Due to the Jazz Crawl’s potential to bring large crowds together in small areas, we decided that it would be best to cancel for this year. As always, our top priority is the safety and health of our performers, guests, volunteers, and venues.  We are incredibly disappointed that we won’t be able to see all of you and share in an evening of great Jazz & Blues music, we will miss you!  Each year we look forward to this important and necessary fundraising event for our organization, this year would have been our 17th annual.  We’ll be back next year, and we sincerely hope that good health and prosperity for our community and country returns. We ask you to please mark your calendar for next year’s fundraiser, Friday, August 13, 2021!

The Plymouth Arts Center is proud to present the 12th Summer of “Mill Street Live,” musical series. This summer, to ensure the safety of our cast, directional team, and community, Mill Street Live 2020 is being presented in small virtual cabarets each week. Under the direction of Tricia Roberts and Jamie Jeanty, along with Tom Roberts as music director, this summer’s cast features 14 young adults who love to sing, dance, and entertain! Selections by Queen, The Pointer Sisters, Elvis, The Jonas Brothers, and many more are featured each week. “While we’re bummed that we are not getting to rehearse and put on our normal ‘spectacular,’“ Tricia Roberts, director and veteran performer states, “I’ve really enjoyed working with the cast to safely record their solos and small group numbers. Their energy is contagious and their talent is strong. I cannot wait to work with them in a more traditional show next summer.”

Dear Travelers: In memory of our dear bus tour leader, Kitty Lynne Klich, I will be conducting her scheduled bus tour to Milwaukee on Saturday, April 18th to see the Broadway Musical, “My Fair Lady.” It is described as ‘the most perfect musical,’ and I think a fitting tribute to our wonderful lady, Kitty. As you know, Kitty loved planning and leading these bus tours and most of all, being with you! All of us at the Plymouth Arts Center were so greatly appreciative of her superb efforts. We knew how dedicated she was to making sure that everything went smoothly and that you had a great time traveling with us. We will do our best to fulfill her wishes of offering this trip and hopefully there will be others to follow.

November’s Art project will have you weaving a cute table runner using yarns and embroidery flosses of many colors! We will also make a turkey to add to the runner out of felt! Basic sewing skills and weaving skills will be taught and you will have a cute keepsake for years to come!

Celebrate Halloween at the Plymouth Arts Center, Friday, October 25th from 7 to 10pm and dance to the music of the ever-popular String Along Band. The dance party will be held in the PAC Greatroom, 520 East Mill Street, Downtown Plymouth. Everyone is welcome to attend this family-friendly event!

What happens when a lovely young heiress, her two handsome suitors, some wealthy socialites, spooky servants and two competitive super sleuths gather in an isolated mansion to hear the reading of a will? The answer is laughter in the hilarious play “Any Number Can Die”, a murder mystery spoof. “Any Number Can Die” written by Fred Carmichael is a take-off on the mystery plays of the late Twenties complete with sliding panels, robed figures, wills being read at midnight, etc. The idioms, costumes, hairdos, and make-up of the period add to the thrills and laughter. Four ingenious murders take place in an island mansion as a pair of elderly detectives set to work on their first case. The ever-popular storm, the unexpected guests, the cryptic poem, and the missing fortune all add to the intricate and inventive mystery off which the laughs bounce.

The playwright, Fred Carmichael is the author of over fifty plays, primarily comedies, farces, and mysteries. Some of his credits include Any Number Can Die, Done to Death, More than Meets the Eye, The Robin Hood Caper, The Three Million Dollar Lunch, Exit the Body and more. With his wife Patricia, Fred Carmichael owned and operated the Caravan Theatre at the Dorset Playhouse in Dorset, Vermont, for twenty-seven seasons from 1949 to 1975.
