Wednesday, September 6, 2023, 5:30-6:30 pm. Admission is Free! Join us for a gallery walk with photographer Kristine Hinrichs. Learn about the artist and her special photography and printing techniques. The event will take place in Gallery 110 North of the Plymouth Arts Center. Kristine’s works are among those featured in the current “Harmony and Dissonance” exhibition by CoPA, the Coalition of Photographic Arts, on display to Oct. 6.

Kristine Hinrichs is a Milwaukee, Wisconsin based photographer. She lives in downtown and focuses on the urban landscape, an outgrowth of her training and interest in urban planning. She shots with the Olympus mirrorless camera system and has shot and posted to social media every day for thirteen years. She has recently expanded the presentation of her work to images that she prints on silk – both silk panel installations and hand-quilted silk pieces.
Her award winning work has been featured in numerous juried exhibitions throughout the US, notably – the Racine Art Museum’s biannual “Wisconsin Photography, Plymouth Art Center “Alive in the Arts” in 2020, 2021, 2022 (1st Place), and 2023 (award of Merit), several Praxis Gallery exhibitions, CoPA Milwaukee, Art Bar Milwaukee 2019, 2021, and 2022 (Best of Show 2019), Appleton’s Trout Museum SECURA “Fine Arts Exhibition” in 2020 and 2021, Trout Museum “TMA Contemporary 2023”, two images commissioned for the Trout Museum “Groundbreaking”, Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art Exhibitour 2022 (3rd place), Wausau Center for Visual Arts (Award of Merit), International Photography Hall of Fame annual juried exhibition, White Bear Lake Center for the Arts “40^th Northern Lights Juried Art Exhibition” (Judge’s Choice), and many others. “Mill Street Live” will be celebrating its 16th year as Plymouth Arts Center’s premier summer musical series. Initiated in 2009, the series continues to be well-known for its high-energy performances, fantastic music selections, choreography, and showmanship.
Mill Street Live is directed by Ella Josephs and Christina Pringle. Seven Friday evening shows and two Sunday matinees will be performed at the Plymouth Arts Center beginng with the premier on Friday, June 21 at 7:30pm. All Friday evening shows will be presented at 7:30pm, matinees at 2:30pm. The grand finale show will be held on Friday, August 2nd. Please join us this summer, you are going to love “Mill Street Live!”
