Wisconsin artists inspired by the renewed interest in the encaustic medium will exhibit their art. The encaustic medium uses colored pigment added to hot beeswax. The wax can be heated by several different sources and applied to a surface such as wood or canvas and also shaped into three-dimensional art. This technically challenging medium is seeing increased interest by artists because of its dimensional quality and luminous color.
It’s easy to purchase event tickets as a gift. Simply purchase in the usual manner online via the event listing page, telephone our Box Office, or visit in person.
