Jingle ‘N Jive a holiday celebration, created by the Youth Theatre Company, will be presented Friday, December 14-16, 2007, at 7:30pm in the Plymouth Arts Center. The production, in partnership with the Plymouth Arts Center, will feature a talented cast of sixteen teenagers from the local area. Jingle ‘N Jive, a collection of song, dance, and both humorous and reflective readings, will celebrate some of our most cherished holiday traditions. The program will be performed in the intimate setting of the Plymouth Arts Center. From Jingle Bell Rock to Frosty the Snowman, Silent Night, and Deck the Halls, this joyful and fun-filled presentation will be designed to reflect and enjoy the magic of the 2007 holiday season! All evening performances will feature a wine and cheese reception and afternoon matinees a sweets and punch delight!! Singers and dancers include; Laura Bunke, Eli Carlson, Rachael Cook, Andrew Flood, Marlo Kiela, Kelsey McManus, Kathryn Overby, Julia Rizzi, Logan Roy, Allison Scherer, Colleen Schulz, Liz Sommer, Stephanie Stanczyk, Jenny Talen, Maria Travis, and Chris Wilson all of the local Plymouth area. Music will be provided by Mitch McFadden, keyboard and guitar, Bob McManus, keyboard, Chris Wilson, percussion and Tim Talen, guitar. Eileen Brooks serves as Costume Consultant and Judy Sommer as Costume Assistant with Logo Design by Julia Rizzi. Jingle ‘N Jive was conceived by Tim and Patty Talen for the Youth Theatre Company. Patty Talen serves as stage director and choreographer and Tim Talen is the Technical Director. Following public performances, Jingle ‘N Jive, will tour to Milwaukee Children’s Hospital, Libby’s House in Plymouth and The Aurora Medical Center, Plymouth. The Youth Theatre Company is a non-profit community theatre company founded in 1988 committed to presenting high quality productions for both young people and families. The company has produced “Tom Sawyer” in 1988, “Tales of the Wild,Wild West” in 1990, “Aesop’s Fables” in 1992, “The Pied Piper” in 1994, “Mountain Magic” in 1996, “Badger Tales” in 1998, “Story Surf’n” in 2000, “Cartunes” in the Spring of 2001, “Aesop’s Fables, Take ’02”in 2002, “Go H20” in 2004, “Rhythm and Rhyme” in the Fall of 2006 and most recently, “Tom Sawyer” in the summer of 2007.
