Community Event, All Ages
The Plymouth Arts Center is proud to dedicate its newly installed American flag, generously donated by Marshall Sign Company, during a special community ceremony on Saturday, June 13, at 12:00 noon. Held in observance of Flag Day weekend and in celebration of America’s 250th Birthday, this meaningful event honors the history, symbolism, and enduring spirit of our nation.
The official dedication ceremony will be conducted by the Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243 and will include the American Legion Color Guard, patriotic presentations, and remarks highlighting the history and significance of the American flag. The public is warmly invited to attend.
Immediately following the ceremony, guests are invited inside the Plymouth Arts Center to experience photographer Ken Pannier’s exhibition, Plymouth: Then & Now, A Visual Transformation, on display in the PAC Greatroom. This fascinating collection showcases historic photographs of Plymouth paired with contemporary images of the same locations, offering a unique glimpse into the city’s evolution over time. All artwork will be available for purchase.
The celebration will continue throughout the afternoon with live music until 3 pm by My So Called Band, featuring Ken’s children, Andrea and Brandon Pannier. Guests are also invited to enjoy complimentary birthday cake and a cash bar as the community gathers to celebrate this special occasion.
This special celebration marks an important milestone for the Plymouth Arts Center as it proudly celebrates its 33rd membership year serving the community from its historic home in beautiful downtown Plymouth. Join us as we honor our nation’s heritage, celebrate the arts, and come together as a community.
