Art, All Ages
The Plymouth Arts Center proudly invites the community to celebrate a historic milestone with America at 250: Our Stories Through Art, a vibrant student art exhibition honoring the 250th birthday of the United States. This dynamic showcase brings together artwork from elementary, middle school, high school, homeschool, and adult students, offering a powerful and colorful reflection of our nation through creative voices.
Participating artists include students from Lori Beringer’s Open Studio, Seton Catholic School (Sheboygan, grades 2–8), St. John Lutheran School (Plymouth, 8th grade), Elkhart Lake–Glenbeulah High School, Plymouth Elementary Schools—Horizon, Parkview, and Fairview (all grades), Riverview Middle School, Plymouth High School, and the PAC Homeschool Art Program. Collaborative works from multiple schools add even more depth and excitement to this inspiring community celebration.
The public is invited to meet the student artists at the opening reception on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4 to 6pm. Enjoy live musical entertainment courtesy of Blue Louis, piano. Complimentary appetizers and desserts will be served. Cash Bar. Admission is free!
America at 250: Our Stories Through Art is generously sponsored by Franz Backus and Eveyln Owen. The show will be on display in Gallery 110 North through February 27, 2026.
About the Entertainer, Blue Louis: You might wonder: what makes Blue Louis so blue? Is he related to Smurfs? A former member of the Blue Man Group? Did he ingest too much colloidal silver? No, but those would be much more interesting than the real answer, so maybe we should just pick one of those and run with it! Blue Louis is a jazz pianist from Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Blue Louis has played thousands of shows with several different bands, as a soloist and has worked as a lounge pianist in residence. In 2025, Blue Louis became a core member of the band Minor Worries.
Gallery 110 North is located in the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill Street in historic downtown Plymouth. Regular PAC hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10am to 4pm. Admission to Gallery 110 North is always free thanks in part to our generous sponsors. Tour and school groups are welcome!
