Summer Art Camp Grades 1-4 “Four Different Sessions”

Summer Camps, Youth

An art project based 4-day camp, join local SASD art teacher, Mary Starnitcky, as she helps you create fun, whimsical, and imaginative masterpieces. Pre-registration is required to have supplies ready. All supplies included!

Camps are $85 ($80 PAC member) per student.

Class times: 8:30-10:00am

Session A: Drawing July 5-8—Come explore drawing techniques! We will use a variety of materials to learn how create cartoons, animals, and a variety of whimsical creatures!

Session C: Painting July 11-14— Painting class that will include a variety of creations. Paper, canvas, faces, maybe even a rummage sale find! Come paint and experience art making!

Session E: Sculpture July 18-21— Paper mache to sewing a piece of pizza! Come and learn some new art creations. Explore, create, and have fun!

Session D: Mixed Media July 25-28— Let’s explore making puppets! We will be creating a new friend for a life time! It will involve using paper mache, painting, and maybe some sewing!

Meet the Teacher

Mary Starnitcky

ABOUT THE TEACHER: Mary Starnitcky has worked as an award-winning artist and educator for the past 30 years. Graduating from UW-Stout, and with her master’s from National Louis University, Mary’s work has been on exhibition in Sheboygan and Madison. She also has been involved with many local organizations including Girl Scouts, 4-H, and Love Bowls. She believes, “Students have so much to offer in a variety of the arts, they just need a little guiding hand to let it out.”

Enjoy a complimentary appetizer. Cash bar. Exhibition will be on display through Friday, April 26 only.

Summer Art Camps for Grades 5-8 with instructor Liz Higgins. Class time is: 10:30 am to Noon. This is an art project based day camp where each student can explore the process of the art concept selected for each session, to create fun and imaginative masterpieces.
