Celebrate the serene beauty of winter by painting snow-covered landscapes and seasonal scenes in watercolor. Students will learn techniques for painting snow, creating texture, and capturing light and shadow in winter environments. This relaxed, supportive class encourages exploration, creativity, and confidence while completing a winter-inspired piece. All supplies provided. However, you are welcome to bring your own brushes and paints. This will be a 4 hour workshop with a break for lunch which is on your own, 12-1pm. *Please bring a couple reference pictures for you to paint. All supplies included!
By day, Cindy Sarkady works for UW Madison Division of Extension as an administrator. However, her passion is watercolors. She has been painting for over 40 years and sold her first painting when she was 15. She has hung in two gallery shows in Illinois and recently, she has illustrated the children’s books. Jax Dreams of Heaven, Jax Dreams of Heaven and Jax Finds His Talent by author Tammy Stuhr. Since illustrating the children’s books, she has been taking more art classes and wanting to share her passion with others through teaching workshops.
