Qigong consists of techniques for dealing with human energy flow. In the view of Chinese medicine, many illnesses are caused by blockages in the channels, meridians, and chakras. In learning to recognize, utilize, circulate, and direct the internal energy of the human body, an individual can also connect with the energy of the universe and of the earth, and learn to interact with all of nature as a whole. Qigong participants will learn how to connect with the energy of the universe and of the earth, how to charge yourself from the energy of nature, how to remove blockages from your channels and meridians, how to cleanse yourself with the energy of nature, like having a shower only with the energy of nature. Through use of certain energies and techniques, Qigong can relieve pain, strengthen the body's constitution, improve intelligence, and prolong life.
